CEO of Charlotte Regional Partnership will discuss regional economic growth with the Charlotte Business Professionals on December 8, 2009

Charlotte –Ronnie Bryant, President and CEO of Charlotte Regional Partnership will speak to the Charlotte Business Professionals (CBP) on December 8 at 6:00 p.m. at Dilworth Neighborhood Grille in Charlotte. Mr. Bryant will provide his insights into economic development for the 16-county Charlotte region and growth areas in 2010.

“Over the last 18 months, more jobs have been lost in our region than have been created,” said Bryant. “This gives us at the Charlotte Regional Partnership an even greater sense of urgency as we aggressively market Charlotte USA and leverage regional resources for long-term growth, job creation and investment in our 16-county, two-state region. We’ve recently begun seeing encouraging signs that our efforts are paying off.”

Business professionals are invited to join CBP and register online to attend the event by visiting our website at www.charlottebp.com. Membership is free; monthly meeting fees are $20. Walk-ins are accepted, however pre-registration is recommended. CBP asks that all attendees bring a donation of non-perishable canned goods to the 12/8 meeting to support the Second Harvest Food Bank.
