Charlotte Chamber President Bob Morgan

Bob MorganBob Morgan has served as the President of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce since November 2005.  Prior to his current role, he served as President of the Gaston Chamber of Commerce from 2002 to 2005.

Morgan previously held positions at the Charlotte Chamber as Vice President of Public Affairs, Vice President of Office Development, and Group Vice President of Business Advocacy from 1991 through 2002.  He worked for Congressman Alex McMillan (R, NC- 9) from 1989 to 1991.

Morgan sits in the boards of the United Way of Central Carolinas, Charlotte Center City Partners, Belmont Abbey College and the Mecklenburg County Council of the Boy Scouts.

A native of Rome, New York, Morgan’s family moved to Charlotte in 1971.  After graduating from Independence High School, he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science.  Bob Morgan currently resides in Charlotte with his wife Meg and their two sons Robert and Jack.

The Charlotte Chamber is a not-for-profit membership organization representing 3,800 member companies.  The mission of the Chamber is to grow the economy, to serve as a voice for business and deliver value in order to ignite success for our members and for Charlotte.
